There was a meetup for light painting tonight at the Yourell Aeration Station. I got there early and the reflections were beautiful for about 10 minutes til the light turned totally flat. The light painting was fun, but when I started to process them tonight I realized all my plug-ins are gone. Even after reinstalling, they are not reappearing in Lightroom. Totally frustrated so am giving up for the night. Will be back to comment soon, I hope, with the processing tools back.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments on the cathedral shots!
This is a beautiful shot, Taffy. I love your processing. I am so lost when you talk of plug ins. I am in a Facebook group for those of us who have a Sony A6000 mirrorless camera. I am more lost there than here by far but lost with a lot of others and in the midst of so much to learn. It never ends.
I had a mysterious problem with Lightroom 4 as well. One day my complete catalog of photos wouldn't open. I was in a panic but with the advice of another photographer I was able to find and copy all of my files on the external hard drive that I use. I hope things work out well for you. I really like this shot as well. Sorry about running on about Lightroom.
Such beautiful colours, especially the sky. I have also lost my plug-ins, but as I hardly use them, I have not tried to fix it yet. Frustrating though.
See you got fascinated by the flowing waters. Hope your tools come back. I've heard of some problems with tools in LR and having to export to a folder and bring into the plugins rather than direct.
@cazla I'm going to try the info you recommended in the thread. It's frustrating as it's on my macbook pro, which doesn't usually cause me grief like this!
I like the swirling action on the water. Technology is a total mystery to me so I hope you'll be able to figure out what's going on with your photo processing program.
