Photographed with my macro lens, then converted to B&W after editing in LR5. But wasn't sure whether I liked the b&w or color version best. So ... I posted both.

@irisn Thanks for the kind comments, Iris. It's actually a second flower that I'd positioned behind it in hopes that it would have the feeling of a reflection. I used a relative large aperture (f3.2) in hopes of a clear focus on the front flower but not so deep a DOF as to focus on the back flower as well.
Beautiful shot and lovely detail. I am a big fan of b&w and I checked out both of these shots. I think I prefer the colour version though. Flowers always look better in colour I think.
I could have sworn that I commented on this one, but sometimes I think I view them and figure I will get back to it with a thoughtful comment later, which never happens!!! Yes, I like the color version much better, but you know me, I am partial to color!! ;-)
