Taken at Daley Plaza on a bright sunny day.
Thank you for your comments and thoughts on my two shots yesterday in color versus b&w. I always find it interesting to learn what makes one over the other more appealing.
Taken with the street photography theme in mind.
Given the limitations of your gear, I really like this image: The frozen streams of the fountain first catches my eye before I wander to the reflections in the window and the man, also seemingly mesmerized by the fountain and deep in thought...about what? Great story, great composition, great B&W.
This water seems to be alive, just like some kind of un-earthy creature. I very much like the contrast between the white foamy non-transparent water and the dark background.
Excellent composition, the various components of the shot work so well together. I just can't get up the courage to do street photography - apart from in very touristy places!
You know what I love about this? The left side of the window appears to be bent/curved, and I really like that slight anomaly....also, the fact that the person sitting on the bench is on that side of the building with the fountain balancing the right side! Well, I might as well have said that I like the composition!! :-))
Nicely captured and composed, and there are so many interesting things that catch my eye, like the bent trees, the contrasts between the light and dark.
