Busy day today and while I took lots of photographs of meetings and a few of the surroundings, no time to process.
This is from Sunday's meet up at the chapel. The contrast of wood and stone was quite striking when their in person, which I tried to emphasize in the processing.
Thanks for your comments about the empty Phoenix airport shot and about the heat, or not that hot heat, depending on your perspective!
Such a contrast in textures and colours Taffy. It almost looks like two different designs as if the pews were added later. Interesting building. Great capture and processing of course!
@888rachel@onewing Thanks Rachel and Babs. It isn't sc, but I reduced the saturation so that the slight golden tones in the wall were gone. The wood color was so rich and deep that it held up even when desaturated (I was actually initially seeing how it looked in b&w). So a happy accident!
@paulaw Thanks Paula. The wood was such a rich tone, I was really surprised when I desaturated how far down I could go and it still maintained a pleasant color to it.
The details of the elements here just pop from the picture. The ones in the shadowed balcony are even visible. Looks like you took great advantage of the photo ops to be found in the Chapel.
