Melbourne meets Northern Michigan! I saw Kane's photo today -- http://365project.org/karlow75/365/2015-08-10 -- and did a double-take wondering how he could have photographed this old cottage on Beaver Island. Of course, it is simply each of us being drawn to a similar older building/window. I chose b&w because in this one, the color of the leaves distracted from the focal point.
This is just deliciously and visually tactile! Of course I had to see what Kane had posted, and he's got me as a new follower, so thanks for pointing him out!
Haha, wow, they are so very similar. I love this shot too. And a great idea to make it b&w to bring out the textures. I did take several shots of mine, and decided I liked this crop the best too. :)
@888rachel It's actually a very small storage shed in the section where Livingstone Studio (2 red cabins and the owners 3rd cabin that she lives in). She's cleaned it up a lot so it is very photogenic, but I suspect no one really would want to enter!
