This station was opened in 2001, built from the components of an historic station - part of a move to revitalize this neighborhood. It's a very cute station and Garfield Park which surrounds it is gigantic -- 185 acres -- with one of the city's main conservatories. A local photography group had a meet-up today which allowed us to go to areas we aren't likely to visit on our own. More photos to come.
Processed first in Photomatix combining three shots. Then imported to LR for tweaking. The exported to Silver Efex to convert to b&w and do some additional adjustments. Then back into LR for final work before saving and posting.
Fantastic editing work (and thanks for sharing the steps). It's great that special privileges are granted to photographers on occasion and that you take advantage of the opportunities. We here sure enjoy it!
@panthora Any time! Thanks for the visit. I know I have been appreciating those who are posting links to PS tutorials, so figured I'd share a process even if it didn't use the fancier processing stuff.
Had to look at this one and not only because of the bright glassy look you've achieved out of mundane el station makings. When I was young my mother had no car. When we went to the conservatory, we had to get off one stop before or one stop after. Even at a young age, I knew those neighborhoods were different...
