We drove down to Indianapolis this afternoon to attend the opening of a friend's play (he's directing Great Gatsby) at the Indiana Repertory Theater. We're right in the middle of downtown, had a great time at dinner and the play, and then my plan was to do night photography in the area. But it was raining by then and Jim was not interested in being a sherpa in the rain. I borrowed an umbrella from the hotel and walked within a few block radius of the hotel. They have such an impressive state capitol, even in the rain so I was glad to have ventured out.
THANK YOU for your favs that put my shot of the 'reflection in the bean' on TT this week. I was thrilled!
Wow, you did a great job with this wonderful nighttime shot! The reflections in the rain washed street enhance the glow, and I love the fact that you can see the rain falling on the upper right corner! FAV!!
Super shot, so glad you went out in the rain. You can see the rain in the top right hand corner. Hope you didn't get too wet. So good that you captured this photo with no cars in the scene. fav.
Good to see you figured out something to do. I knew two 365ers who were in the Indy area but I haven't seen either one posting in a while so I couldn't suggest them when I saw your discussion thread. You are never lacking in the ability to find a good shot- as evidenced by this! Great night shot!
You always manage to get a great architectural image whatever the weather! The rain had enhanced this shot creating Moody atmosphere and lovely reflections! A huge Fav of course Taffy! Congrats on the TT too! One of my favourite all time shots of yours!
This is just spectacular against black. The rain seems to actually have helped your shot - the reflections are fabulous. You certainly did wonders with a night shot. Fav
