Thanks all for your fun comments in the thread re the Windmills shot. Loved it!
I was planning to do something with color, but in the end, liked the pencil sketch type of processing the best. Color will have to wait for another day.
Interesting processing Taffy! Is this sketch feature in LR or PS or something else? I haven't come across it. I like the way it has brought out the detail of the glass.
@pamknowler This is the SnapArt program, with the pencil sketch function. It's a fun program to use and pushes me to think about which kind of image works with what kind of artistic (pencil, chalk, oil, water color, line drawing, etc) finish.
I really like this and love your processing. I have to get back out and shoot some photos. Life temporarily got into the way. I will feel well again and will not fall in our hall shower again either. Ice has helped my head, neck and elbow since Monday night. Grateful for no broken bones. FAV for your photo, Taffy.
@darsphotos Oh no -- a shower fall? I missed that! Oh gosh, you just haven't gotten a break lately! I'm glad to read your bathroom remodel is almost done. We are almost finished with the house and it feels good.
@taffy Not posting for now. Just a few comments. I have dealt with so much medical since the end of May. I am ready to be well. I seem to get small breaks and then here we go again. We just need that one small fix and the shower stall frame. Looks so nice. You are still not done yet? You are back living there, right? Hope yours is done soon. The done date was June? I hope things move along well. I no longer think fast as I want the work done well.
@darsphotos Yes, we're living here and it's quite wonderful. If it weren't for the stairs, I'd be happy as could be as it's exactly as we'd pictured it when we were doing the redesign/remodel. The things left are annoying, but nothing that interferes with day to day life. They need to powerwash the exterior, change the locks since so many workman had access to the key, put in the screens that are yet to be delivered, and fix some electrical hookups that are wonky. But nothing huge.
@taffy I am glad you are moved in. Did you get used to no stairs in the other place? I would have loved to do a redesign but not for the reason you had to. Could not afford it but nice to have our bathroom refreshed so to speak. That is a lot left to do. I would not be exactly happy but as I watched the major fires here in CA and know what you have gone through I will not complain. I did catch one worker closing our medicine cabinet which was unsettling. I did not say anything. He is the only guy with his own company that does excellent grout work so let it go. I cannot imagine how you felt having so many hands on your stuff. Not all are honest or caring. Good luck with the rest of the work. At least it will be done for the holidays.
