Today's shots are street photography ones that I happened on during a photo walk with @UKAndie as we explored some sites open during this year's Chicago Architecture Foundation's Open House Chicago. It's an amazing 2-day event, but after hours inside buildings photographing architecture and stunning views of the city from high up, I was taken with some surprising sightings. Those dogs are clearly living on Easy Street!
For a view of a 'real' Aqua-Man, see my extras album post: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2015-10-18
Great candid shot, my Paddy wouldn't sit in one of those, but his pal who he walk with every morning had one, but he was very old and could only walk a short distance.
So funny I had a quick look at the photo and started to read your commentary. It was only then that I realised it was dogs in the pushchairs!! What a sight!! The big one on the right looks too fat to walk - how sad is that? Not showing this shot to Finlay - i don't want to give him any ideas!! LOL!! Wow another photowalk - I hope you are not too fed up with Chicago by the time we get there!! You are so lucky living there as there is such a variety of subjects to shoot!!
Goodness gracious I have seen everything now. I can't help feeling that the dog on the right could do with getting out of the stroller and having a bit of a run though, maybe even his owner too for that matter.
So funny!Did you capture this unnoticed?I still regret of not capturing well a duck in a stroller, although I talked to her owner, just felt shy of being too curious about the strange pet.
@tonygig I'm hoping that is why both of these are in carts...that somehow they have an infirmity and thus can't walk. Otherwise...awfully strange! @my_photofun They saw us photographing them but didn't seem to mind. They must be used to gawkers!! @onewing I totally agree -- unless there is something wrong with him. @pamknowler Yes, Finlay does NOT need to know about these!!
I am still chuckling that we got this shot Taffy! @pamknowler it is hard to imagine getting fed up with walking around Chicago, it is a city in constant change, be it the weather, the people, or the ever changing skyline...I am sure Taffy will agree.
@ukandie1 Taffy and Andie - what a brilliant shot! initially I only saw the large dog! these pooches are far to pampered! Like @pamknowler Pam says, leave some photos for us to takeLOL!!
Oh, I wish I could have been there with you, too!! I think next year I will have to put that on my calendar (send me the info ahead of time so that I can plan!), and maybe the three of us can go on that Chicago architectural walk!!
On another note, I LOVE that dog on the right....he is one of my favorite breeds, along with the French bulldog that I adore, and the Boston Terrier! Oh, and the Boxer that is my husband's favorite!
@panthora It seems to always be the weekend right after Columbus Day. I'll let you know when it starts being advertised, and I posted the link to it and tagged you. Let me know if you got it.
