After a full day (with a bit of a late start) of hiking on a fairly challenging trail, we were rewarded (though we could barely move) with this sunset upon on return to the trailhead at the visitor's center. Really amazing.

I've appreciated your wonderful comments on yesterday's posts. Also, Daryl, Junko, and I have been reading your comments aloud throughout the day when we happen to be in an area with an internet signal (once at the top of a mountain), with great joy! We are having a great time together!
And finally -- thanks for sending my park sculpture to TT!!
Note: my 100th TT photo!
I'm having issues with my knees again (recurring issues from being 14) if only I had such glorious views to go with my aches!! Wonderful stunning glorious!!
@busylady I remember that book jacket! I've always loved the look of these layers so it was exciting to be able to photograph them. I must have taken 50 shots of these!
A lovely golden version of @darylo 's and @jyokota 's layered blue beauties. A stunner of a vista... super shot. Of course, a fav. Sounds like you are enjoying your trip! :)
I always enjoy looking at hill shots that show recession such as yours, probably because I do not get many opportunities in my part of England to or take this type of image.
So fabulous!! Love, love those layers, and of course, the three takes on the same scene!! You guys seem to be having such a great time together....wish we could all be there with you!! FAV!!
How lovely to head off into the hills together and to have had such a fun and productive time. All three photos are quite superb with subtle different interpretations.
@lesip :-) Thank you SO much -- and I hope you are right! This is one of my personal favorites of any of the photos I've taken! It was so cool to see the mountains going on forever, and I have about 6 versions of this from across several hours in that area!
Congratulations, Taffy!! What an amazing sight this must have been!! It is so cool to see all three versions of it on TT this week....it was definitely worth the arduous hike up that mountain!!
@panthora I had to laugh when I read your comment. The arduous hike was before the sunset, and when we finally climbed back up (from the hike down), we got to the parking lot area...walked about 100 yards, and this was our view! So the hike was totally NOT needed to see this amazing site! Daryl's photo was taken though from another vantage point up higher so she did do a second really tough climb, but both Junko and I decided we could not walk another step after we started up the climb, so we turned around and photographed from the 'scenic overlap.'
Congrats!!
