Junko, Daryl, and I left the beauty of the mountains to be able to hang out for a few hours at Dollywood, Dolly Parton's amusement and entertainment park. We thought Halloween would give us some great street photos -- and fun photos of Daryl on some pretty amazingly scary rides (photos to appear later). Tonight we are packing for our early morning departures, after a really fantastic three days of photography, fun, friendship.
Thanks for all your encouraging comments -- it's been fun reading your comments about our trip aloud to one another.
Looks like Dollywood is a very colourful place! What a fun end to your trip! I have enjoyed being with you - thanks for sharing the trip with us! Safe journey home!
@jgpittenger Yeah, it was pretty fun! Daryl had connections there via her brother so that's how we ended up deciding to go. If only we'd made it a little earlier, we could have done some great practice with @darylo up on the roller coasters -- she's such a great sport -- and even the shots I took of her at very high ISOs were really fun. Would love to do it again with more light!
Not sure what this does, but really beautiful colors in the wheel! You do know that we have these nuclear generating plants here up the coast in San Onofre, affectionately known as Dolly Parton's boobs! ;-)))
@panthora I had no idea! Hysterical! This was a display in front of a shop -- couldn't tell what it was supposed to actually do, other than attract attention (which it did well!)
Sounds like your trip was a success!
