Andie ( @ukandie1 ) and I met at the zoo today late afternoon for a photowalk that ended on the North Avenue bridge overlooking the Drive, north toward the skyline. It was great fun as I rarely photograph the city from this angle, and never had done light trails from that bridge. I predict we'll have some similar postings this week.
Thank you for your favs and comments that sent my pano to PP today. So much appreciated!
Voting ends tomorrow for SIXWS-43 and don't forget, tonight is the last night to post for ETSOOI-60!
Super light trails. I would love to take a photo like this, but where I live you would be lucky enough to get a lone cyclist on a bike at night, ha ha. Maybe now we are in the tourist season we may get more visitors in Nelson Bay.
Wow this is such a great photo, Taffy. The light trails and the city at night are captured so well. I need to learn how to use exposure. Worked on ISO so moving along. FAV
Wonderful light trails with that beautiful backdrop! I have tried light trails but can never find such a great vantage point as this and normally only have one lane of traffic! Great image Taffy! Your walk sounds fun! Fav!
These are great light trails. In Brisbane, all the of the bridges have mesh to either stop people from jumping or throwing stones, and it's impossible to get light trails through them.
It's not just the light trails that make this so good, it's the care you've taken in the construction/composition. Then there's the processing of the sky which is just wonderful.
Quite the busy area. I miss taking light trail shots! How nice you had the meetup! I see ISO at 64. I hadn't thought ISO could go lower than 100. Will have to investigate my camera!!!
@thistle I think there's something to be said for those long lonely trails. I did one once in Death Valley National Park and it was pretty effective among the desert scene. I'll be you are able to come up with a good idea! We have little choice here -- rush hour is best or it looks weird to see a few light trails on a multi-lane highway!
Boy was there enough traffic! Looks as if you had a fabulous time.mthe trails are some of the best I've ever seen and the effect of them going around the island is perfect, fav
I love car trails! Magnificent capture of the lights! Also what's building is that with the purple and yellow lights? It looks gorgeous in the photo too!
Another brilliant technical shot.
