The Runner in the Red Hat by taffy

The Runner in the Red Hat

Dinner shortly and then off to see Beautiful, the musical, so I'm quite excited and know there won't be time to post later. Another landscape and a Where's Waldo fun for those who want to play. It's b&w for flash-of-red February, but there is a tiny bit of color on the runner's hat. Probably need to view large to find him -- and may not be able to even then, which is why I thought the red hat at least gives you a chance!
Wishing you a good start to your weekend!

Update: DO NOT READ IF WANTING TO FIND HIM ON YOUR OWN
Congrats to those who did find him unaided! And thanks to those who returned after I sent the hint. The red hatted runner is VERY hard to find -- I knew he was there when I took the shot and couldn't find him for a long time even on the large screen. He's at the base of the tree in the background on the right hand side. Teeeeeny!
Took me quite a while to spot him! Nice framing, I like your placement of the three large trees.

Odd. I looked and looked and looked, no luck. I went to Flickr to see if you posted it there. I figured I could get a larger view, nope, it's not there...
I did some stuff around the house, and came back to this, and what do you know, I spotted it immediately.

Ok. I am blind; can't see him. I love that the number of trees are multiple, but it reads 3 on impact and their branches reach out and grab your attention.

OK, OK, I cheated... I took a copy of the shot, duplicated it in Photoshop, desaturated one copy and put it into Difference mode above the other - The hat stuck out like a sore thumb!

February 6th, 2016
Gosh Taffy, I looked and looked but had to resort to your instructions. Love a good mystery. What a great winter landscape shot, great composition, wonderful bare trees and vegetation and a path into the distance. Bingo.
February 7th, 2016
Thank you Taffy for letting me know where the figure is. I think I've spotted him on the left side of the tree at the right of the picture but I don't see any color there. I guess that is him. I really do appreciate you letting me know..
February 7th, 2016
Oh, Taffy, I finally found him. Hurray! I had to save it on my computer and blow it up real big and finally saw him. He wasn't where I first thought he was. I will now delete the photo.
February 7th, 2016
I almost gave up - thought you were joking, but then I found him! I love the trees and the mood.

A lovely capture and fun challenge (I'm on my laptop, so I had to use the hint!)
February 7th, 2016
@linnypinny It takes a large screen to see this, I think. And it's weird that on the site it's more of an orange hat, but the original, it's bright red.
February 7th, 2016
I did find him, without your help. If you hadn't mentioned him being there you may well not pick him up! Very nice winter landscape.
February 7th, 2016
Didn't find him until I looked at your clue and even then I had to look really hard. Lovely shot
February 7th, 2016
I would of never found he if it wasn't for your update words! Outstanding photo and a fun game of "Where's Waldo?" :D
