This cafe is native to New York, but came to Chicago fairly recently (maybe a year now - time flies). It's known for it's perfect cupcakes, as well as all other manner of baked goods. I am impressed with their frostings. Time is getting away from me at the moment...apologies in advance for sporadic commenting over the next few days.
One of the side affects that I have experienced from my operation is that sweets taste too sweet. Now how horrible is that! Hope you're being busy is something you enjoy.
Looks delicious and great processing. I think I need to cut down on cupcakes now. We have had buffet lunches out for the last few days and there are always cupcakes in the mix.
@barb_b It's right on State Street a few blocks from Millennium Park. Easy to find and a nice place to take a break from sightseeing. Tiny eating area, but usually there are seats.
@jgpittenger You have me totally hooked on them. I now find myself taking photos with the textures in mind as I take it...sometimes thinking in B&W, other times in textures, but rarely simply take a shot anymore. So interesting how different it is in Year 4!
@taffy I am having the same experience...though I havent had time in the past week or so to do any playing with them. It turns out that one of the judges in the group of camera clubs that our club is part of is going to teach us about textures!!!! I can hardly wait though it may not be until next year.
Inspection today? Good luck.
@jgpittenger Inspection went well...now dealing with final details with attorney and waiting result of appraisal. All very nerve wracking! But progress in that we will set a closing date for Skybridge the same day as our closing -- renters may still be in the unit for awhile, but we will own it! Fingers crossed that no glitches occur.
I love a good cupcake!
Inspection today? Good luck.
