@Weezilou Thanks Louise -- this was life in the 'little city' -- the new tower in an older classic hotel along the Grand River, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
You can always rely on a spiral staircase to make a great photo. I love the way the lack of ornateness means there is a lot more of a suggestion of movement as my eyes follow the spiral downwards.
@helenhall Thanks Helen. It was interesting as without the sunset color, it was a dull staircase that wasn't worth photographing. Then it totally lit up for about 10 minutes, and then, poof, back to drab!
