Today we had access to our Skybridge condo to do some measurements (August 1 takeover...5 months and counting!). It's a dull day otherwise, but so nice to have a little time in our someday home. Our current condo (til March 16) is just off the image in the lower right corner. Thanks for all your nice comments on "Mom & Kid" color shot! A few days left of B&W.
This view will be excellent at night, with all the light-lit lines. :). This is such a great view. August 1 seems ridiculously far away, so I am bummed for you both, with the gap between now and move-in time.
It's as if you are flying high over the city as all the buildings seem lower level in this direction? So pleased you got some time in your condo but how hard this time has been for you! Just think I will be visiting Chicago and then you will be off to France and Iceland ( maybe not in that order) and suddenly August will be here! Then your feet won't touch the ground with all your renovations! The end is in sight Taffy! Great b&w image! Fav !
Stunning view from up there. I would suffer vertigo if I were up there with you. Probably I wouldn't have been able to hold the camera with the shake in my hands. Excellent shot.
@kazlamont When we lived there during the fire renovation, the city 'noise' is there but not bad as high up as we are (33rd floor). It's more like the rhythms of the day - like the city is a character. It's quite fun to see empty roads, morning rush hour through night quiet, trains and the elevated/subway, night sky, etc. I really can't wait til we are moved in and settled! We have 270 degrees of views, so this will be worth the wait!
