While watching the Oscars (not in real time because of a hockey game taking priority), what better way to multi-task that continue cleaning hard drive of less than keepable raw files. And,sadly, coming across images I'd labeled 4 and 5 stars that fit today's delete category. This one (which I'd oversaturated the first time around) was saved because I thought it had promise for b&w. Lucky for me as I needed something for Flash of Red today.

The sunburst perfectly throws the columns into silhouettes. Such a time consuming job which I need to do again! Why do I keep all those images which need deleting on the day I take them!
I find the closer I am to the time the shot was taken the more excited I am and it takes a year or two before I can cast a truly critical eye. But it does give you pause about what you may have discarded that was editable.
I shudder when I look at some (most?) of my juvenilia from the early days of my project. Sadly, it will probably be the same when, in a few years time, I look back on what I'm doing today!
