There has been a ton of rain on Beaver Island this spring and everything looks quite lush. Particularly exciting to see were the irises that are blooming throughout our yard/garden (using those terms loosely as I'm not much of a gardener). The blooms are so rare that I took a few shots before dark last night, and planned to document them all today. And then it rained...and rained...and rained. So they didn't look too photogenic by tonight. Hoping they will bounce back.
Froggy says thanks for all the kind words on his portrait!
@redy4et Thanks! I love them as well. They didn't recover, but I just cut them where they had fallen, and now have a beautiful bouquet sitting on our dining room table! I figured better to enjoy them than see them so sad outside.
Pleased for you that you managed to take the shot of this one - before the deluge.. Pleased for me that you chose to share it on site.. it is a beautiful flower - so majestic in it's aloofness..
