The Potter Palmer Family by taffy

The Potter Palmer Family

Another shot from Graceland yesterday from my walk with @ukandie1 - this one to convey what a simply beautiful cemetery this is. The Palmer House is a longstanding, famous hotel in Chicago, built by this family's patriarch, who also essentially rebuilt State Street (a main street in the Loop area) along with his hotel after the 1873 Chicago Fire. His wife was the "Queen of society" in Chicago. Three generations of the family are interred here.
This is beautiful!!

How grand. Reminds me of our gorgeous cemetary in Cincy where I have some family buried. Not fancy like this, though.

Your capture, but perhaps even more your processing, presents this place more magically than I had imagined it to be.

Love your use of post pro to isolate their grand resting place. I did not realize that he started out as a store owner, who sold his store to Marshall Field.

Very interesting story to put this building into its context. I really like the way you've used a radial gradient/spotlight to focus attention on the main event.

What a gorgeous scene. The graceful willow and the stately columns really form a lovely centerpiece. It gives context, too, now that we stayed at the Palmer House. This feels like a painting.

Beautiful - did you edit with Nik. I have been watching some videos so I now understand the control points. I was thinking you might have used one on the building.

@joansmor I use Nik suite, especially Silver Efex, but for this one I used Luminar by Topaz to sharpen a little and then mostly just used Lightroom.
