A wood duck who swam ahead of the canal boat we were in on the way back from the wildlife game park. He acted as if his role was to lead us back to the entrance. I love their coloring so was thrilled to capture this one in the late afternoon light.

@taffy Really?? An aussie - I'll have to have a look in our bird book and see where they're found - he is just so different to anything we get here - all browns and greys and blacks. Thanks for the info!!
