Headed home today, from 70 degree sunny weather to 30 degree with heavy winds. This Sunshine Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay - designed in the mid 1980s so the tallest cruise ships could pass under it (thought Wikipedia indicated that today, there are ships too tall despite its height). The teeny dots on it area cars and trucks, and the tiny "flat" ships are actually several stories tall freighters.
Thanks for all the kind comments and favs for my post of the tiger!
So glad you gave us a sense of the size. Great lines and shadows and perfect exposure. Knowing you, I’m surprised you didn’t find a spot to stand so it would be symmetrical! Just kidding
Exceptional shot, of course. Makes you wonder how these things stay up in hurricanes. Hope the temp. shock wasn't too bad for you returning home.
I think I like that this is not symmetrical and the part I love about this shot is the cloud.
I traveled back and forth on this bridge a few times back in 2005 and only had my "little point and shoot" back then. It's such a photogenic bridge from every angle. Excellent image!
That’s quite some bridge Taffy, your commentary gives a real scale to the structure. Love the shot, so good in b&w. We’re in central Burma, had no wifi for nearly a week, and could have none again at any time so thought I’d make the most of it and see what my 365 friends were up to.
I hadn't thought about the sails until you both pointed this out.
