First I'd like to thank you all for your lovely good wishes for Jim's speedy recovery. He is coming along - home is a much better place to recover than in a hospital, for sure!
I had time to run some errands (or 'walk' them, along with my camera), so decided to do something other than a city-scape for a change of pace. I came across this entrance but couldn't tell whether it was for a restaurant, a club, or an office building. The lighting was quite intriguing, but less so in color.
Hope everyone is enjoying a good start to the weekend.
Fav. This looks like a wonderful artwork not an entrance to a restaurant. You took a magnificent shot of it. Wasn't aware of Jim's procedure. Glad he is back home now.
I love this! The strong contrast, lines, angles and circles. It almost looks like a tv stage set up and ready for a 60s pop group to perform. My outlook is probably influenced by listening to Pick of the Pops 1964 on the BBC!
It is most intriguing - more especially so because the path leads to a complete black out. It both shouts out to the passer by with the fancy display of lighting, and yet shuts out the onlooker with so little explanation or enticement to enter. A private club. surely.
Good to hear the patient is progressing well now he's home again. I think this shot is terrific, love the shapes, lines and sense of mystery. Well spotted.
