Part of our time while I'm visiting my friend in Hawaii is spending time at the Manoa Heritage Center to gather the information she needs for her botanical drawing project. While plants aren't may main photographic interest, it's also been good practice for me. Plants in many ways are like architectural images -- all about structure and form. This is a frond from the Loulu plant -- a type of palm tree - I liked all its leading lines.
Wonderful shape and lines! How interesting to be helping your friend with her project which sounds fascinating! I hadnât realised you were in Hawaii - what a fabulous place to be able to meet up with your friend! Are you enjoying the warmer weather?
I agree - much to compare in natural structures and architectural ones. There isn't much that nature hasn't done first. We are just imitators. This is a great show of the plant structure .
