Another from my walk with @ukandie1 at the zoo. He had so much personality in his face - it's hard not to anthropomorphize. In contrast, today brought fog, snow, and cold so I assume only the polar bear is pleased.

This is such a powerful image Taffy, I looked at it for ages. It made me think (again) about the appalling destruction of their habitat for the thrice-cursed palm oil plantations.
Fantastic portrait! What a sad face he has! Your comment made me laugh as Rosie @rosiekind and I walked round and round the zoo hoping to see the polar bear but he was hiding away and I was so disappointed!
Kind of looks like me!! Wonderful capture!! I’m lucky it’s was 80 here today and still lots of wildlife for the moment!! Chicago must be beautiful in the snow!
This has such a timeless quality to it. You are right, it is ridiculously hard not to anthropomorphize these creatures. Feels like he has a face I know somehow.....
@ukandie1 Thanks! It was...I used the long lens to about 400 mm. And then cropped some of the junk surrounding him out of the scene. I also was amazed at the snow monkeys -- not only dirty glass but all the reflections.
