I can hear birds a lot but rarely can see them as they are so high up in the thickly-leaved trees. Yesterday, after staining the deck, we were taking a much-needed break and this beauty showed up, along with a warbler. Fortunately, for once the right lens was on my camera and it was nearby -- making it a special bird-photo afternoon for me!
Lovely DOF on this one. Definitely great to have the right lens at the right time. I'm personally trying to use one lens for everything at a time though.
