We visited the Alligator Farm Zoo today, a conservation area primarily for alligators and crocodiles, but also known for their work with other reptiles and birds. It was fascinating and quite an impressive initiative - so many different types of each of these! The two tortoises could not keep their dispute private, and we were fairly closeup witnesses to their little spat.
Tomorrow we go to the Kennedy Space Center and hopefully we'll see a launch as one is scheduled for 2:00. Fingers crossed!!
Wonderful capture!!
I am so excited for you about the visit to the Kennedy Space Centre which is somewhere I would love to visit. To see a launch is something I have dreamed about!! I have always followed the space stories and remember watching the men landing on the moon!! Fingers crossed it all goes ahead on time!!
Great shot of these two. I usually only go down when all of the birds are down there. It is amazing to see all of the birds and they are so close to you, right up next to the rails. Shouldn't be too long before they start arriving.
@rickster549 Many have apparently arrived -- spoonbills are in many of the trees, and egrets were around, plus a few that seem to live there (parrot of some kind, cockatoo) even though not caged. It was fun photographing there.
