A bit behind, but wanted to post while we are still in bw-bookclub. The first week was looking at black and white as art. I focused so much on filters I didn't push myself to try to create an image as art. The railing triptych may count as that, but the art was an afterthought of working with the filters. This one I worked on simply with the idea of what might make an architectural feature from Chicago's Chinatown become an artistic image. Processed in Nik Efex, then used Aperture to increase brightness and mid-contrast so that the contrasts were limited to just a few areas. Framed in picMonkey twice to get the frame effect.
I love the way you did this, Taffy! The building is really unusual looking and I love how the windows are a little smaller with each tier. Beautiful piece of artwork.
