Taken during blue hour looking south across the Chicago River toward Michigan Avenue and (down the road a bit) Millennium Park. I tried to capture the heavy structural elements that characterize the moveable (raise/lower) bridges that span the river and connect the north and south sides of the city. The towers on each side of any of the bridges is where the mechanisms reside for raising and lower them. This tower also serves as a 3 story tiny museum about the Chicago River. Taken on the 20th but haven't had time to post til this afternoon.
This is simply beautiful! Love the information provided about the structure. The lines of the bridge draws us into ( L'Heure Bleu) a great french expression for that time of evening.
Great shot.
