Given all the photos we've just posted from the top of our morning climb, I thought the climb itself deserved a little attention (except this is a different mountain and the climb took place before sunset -- the morning climb was in total darkness except for our headlamps). Junko takes a rest (well, I ask her to take a rest so I can take a rest and the reason I pretend to have to stop for the rest is to take her picture, but she knew that was the reason as we both really needed a rest!) during the climb. In the photo on the upper right you can see in the upper left corner a peek of the peak that had the viewpoint for our shoot.
Processed in picmonkey.
For images of the photographers at the top (but from a different peak for the morning hike -- the evening hike had fewer folks and a much smaller viewing area), see Junko's posting: http://365project.org/jyokota/challenges-and/2016-11-06
@jgpittenger exactly! @pamknowler it looks like a big climb! I think we all agree that you two did the climb and took us along with the visuals. This is something I love about 365. You know the photographer, she you feel like you are next to her. Makes me smile, of course, as I remember all the climbs and descents of TN we did! xoxo
I'll wait with @pamknowler, my undercarriag quails at the mere sight of any steps, let alone this many. But I like the shots, they give a good idea of the countryside.
@darylo@pamknowler@jgpittenger@golftragic I suspect you'd have figured a way to climb once there! It was a long one, but do-able if going slow. And SO worth it at the top. But Junko and I were complaining all the way up!! @jyokota
@taffy The spirit would've been willing, but the legs are definitely unable. I can manage a few steps OK, one flight of ordinary stairs with some effort. Beyond that, forget it. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson's prosthesis I have at best 60% power in my left hip - before you add in the assortment of other leg problems.
SO glad you documented the climb! Yup, 226 flights of stairs. And where were those sherpas when we needed them? Now that it's over, I'm proud we did it on our own. Imagine that climb before last year when there were no stairs. Yikes!

@TAffy and I registered 226 floors on our fitbits that day -- as in, 226 flights of stairs!!!
Thanks for being so supportive and kind about our photos and asking to keep them coming! We'll happily oblige :)
