My tag challenge this week is iPhone/landscape so I entertained myself trying to take landscapes from the car with my iPhone. Hopeless! I switched to my DSLR, boosted the ISO so that I could set a high shutter speed, and kept saying things to Jim (who was driving) like, "In a minute, pleeeease slow down!" "Do you mind if I open the window?" (at 65 mph in cold, damp weather). I took far more shots than usual in hopes that one or two would work. I liked this one because it captured, to me, the golden cornfields that are so typical in Michigan in the fall, the turning leaves, the green trees that hold their color, and the very imposing sky that we were driving into (and are now feeling the effects of with 50 mph winds and rain). We made it over to the island during a window that was perfectly fine for flying. An image from the plane is in my extra extras album: http://365project.org/taffy/special-photos/2013-10-25
And an image on Beaver Island is in my main album - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-10-25
