Sunset and Silhouette in Black and White by taffy

Sunset and Silhouette in Black and White

Working on a proposal this afternoon so I missed the sun that I heard was out this afternoon. But, I looked up in time to see that the sunset was pretty dramatic so I went up to the roof (snow on the back stairs finally melted!) to capture it. Then, I processed additionally in Silver Efex, then pic-monkey to try to make it more interesting, as the colorful version to me is far more intriguing (but I'm committing to b&w until the 15th or 16th -- first half of the month, for no particularly reason) The colorful version is in my overflow album - http://365project.org/taffy/special-photos/2014-01-12

The processing makes the sky look sort of misty or foggy. The trees appear to be blowing in the wind. Very atmospheric!

Your processing lends a sense of foreboding and peril. Like it should be on the cover of a Stephen King novel.

This almost looks like an infra red shot Taffy. Great processing giving a very atmospheric feel to the shot!

Very original presentation. If I hadn't seen the color version, which I like very much, I would be all over this one.

Beautiful processing, it seems an IR picture

I like the black and white better. The sky seems a little too overdone in the orange, but then it very well could have been!
