It rained and rained and rained today. And the snow melted and melted and melted. So by the time I was walking home tonight, it was a challenge. There were deep pools of water -- beyond puddles -- at every intersection. This was my final street to cross and the only way to do it was like tightrope walking across these planks that had been taken off police barricades. This is the un-fun side to snow!
BW-bookclub's focus is on artistic choice. I tried this in high key, low key, various contrasts, and went with this lowish-key, high contrast to try to bring out slogging, rather than walking home. Handheld at 2 seconds by leaning against the fence, taking a deep breath, and holding as steady as I could. I can't believe it worked!
Wow, you actually had to walk the plank? That puddle is huge! I was so glad for my rain boots today. But there's always a danger that there's ice at the bottom of some of the puddles, but I'm glad I didn't have to walk any planks!
