"Let Us Out!" Shouted the Trees

Shifting from unscheduled days and nature on Beaver Island to highly scheduled days in urban Chicago so today's 'find' of the yellow flowers was fun on the way to my office. Tonight I was walking between my building and the library when I noticed the way the reflections of the trees made them look like they were stuck inside the building. Processed in b&w using Silver Efex.
Title called for a six word story.

A great shot Taffy with all those lines making you wonder if the stairs are inside of a reflection. Then the trees captured in the window. Such an interesting image which makes you keep looking to try to work it out. I think b&w was the perfect choice for this shot and your processing is wonderful as usual!

Yes they do like that, how intriguing! They must be bad trees to be locked inside like that :)

Fantastic reflection, the trees do appear to be locked in. Perfect subject for black and white

Shades of MC Escher! Great reflections and, I suspect, reflections of reflections. I really like this shot Taffy, powerful straight lines and angles counterposed with the natural softness of the vegetation.

Great lines, reflections and shadows!

Very clever and well spotted! I really like the strong, straight structural lines contrasting with the tree and it's reflection. And I like the inclusion of the reflection as well as part of the actual tree.

I'm beginning to experiment more with bw and monotone. It works so well sometimes to convey a feeling.

So much by which to be transfixed. This photo just draws you in and won't let go so easily. Just like those "trapped" trees.

@kathiecb @milaniet Thanks so much for the visit and comment. I only had a minute to photograph when I spotted it and was excited when I got home and saw it on my computer. It was striking to see the trees look like they were inside the building.
