The Aftermath...Big Picture by taffy

The Aftermath...Big Picture

This is the upper floor of our unit, the top floor in our building. This is what the content removal company decided was satisfactory and that they could all take the day off. This is one of the better looking rooms across the four floors across the two units. Not a great day...but some very good things have happened as listed in fire saga entry in main album - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2014-11-14
Wow!!!

So heartbreaking for you Taffy to see your lovely home in this state!! To think they could take a day off and leave it like this - I hope you tell them what you think. I do hope it hasn't caused more damage to your things which are still lying in that mess. Stay positive even though that must be the hardest thing in the world!! Take care - stay safe!!

I am so sorry. I've been so very busy with family, health, and work issues that I've neglected my 365 project. I pray you are well and your road to restoration has few obstacles and detours.
November 15th, 2014
wow...this is impressive ! It's so sad..Good luck and tons of courage !
November 15th, 2014
Taffy, you remain in my thoughts. I hope things progress at a good pace.
November 15th, 2014
Oh, no! Words fail... at least you are safe, but what a mess. I hope you can find some courage and some remnants of a sense of humor, because I fear you will need both. Your comments about the content removal people leaving early made me laugh. Yuk. Hang in there and we will continue to try to encourage you. :)

Think they see so much they have become immune to the sense of tragedy that their customer is experiencing.
November 15th, 2014
What a total mess, obviously the clearance people couldn't face it themselves. Good luck.
November 15th, 2014
I could cry for you..........what a shame......but there is only one way ..........upwards:) this is a temporary phase......it WILL improve, I am sure everyone of your 365 friends could be there to help you if they could xxx
November 15th, 2014
Oh man, at least you are all safe.
November 15th, 2014
Oh Taffy. I am so sorry to hear of your fire and the devastating damage. Hang in there. I will keep you in my thoughts.
November 15th, 2014
Yup. This looks satisfactory - NOT!
November 15th, 2014
Oh my god…Taffy. I am so sorry…
November 15th, 2014
I'm so sorry Taffy! Wish you all the best!
November 15th, 2014
I can never quite understand why firefighters have to make such a mess. Hang in there
November 15th, 2014
So sorry, Taffy. Your photo and story just hits you in the gut.
November 16th, 2014
Oh wow, what a mess. It doesn't look satisfactory to me! But there do perhaps look like there are some things that are salvageable. I hope this stage goes quickly.
November 16th, 2014
Oh Taffy, how ghastly to see your nest in ruins like this, must be totally devastating for you. Home is sanctuary and this one has been badly violated.
November 16th, 2014
So sad and heart breaking!!
November 16th, 2014
What a terrible mess. I am SO glad you are OK.
November 16th, 2014
Terrible mess.
November 16th, 2014
Oh, my, my Taffy!! My heart bleeds for you! :-((( What a holy mess, and this is just the beginning. I know they are all just "things", and everything can be restored, recovered, or replaced, but it sure makes you take stock. I hope you will find some peace of mind at your new temporary abode, and realize that you have not lost anything irreplaceable. I see some new furniture in your future.... ;-))
November 16th, 2014
OMG Taffy. Missed what happened to you and I'm just looking at your pictures today. I'm really sorry for you. My positive thoughts from France.
November 16th, 2014
All I can say is OMG Taffy! That's total devastation. My heart goes out to you.
November 16th, 2014
once again...Bless Your Heart... As Osia said, the day will finally come when you plop down on a new sofa, and sigh, "We did it, Jim...we saw it through..." I'm so glad to see the good company here that you have gathered around you...looks like an outpouring and a big group hug!
November 16th, 2014
This not only makes me sad for you, it makes me angry. This company gives those who "do it right" a bad name. If you have a place where you can describe their work ethic so that others don't get the same treatment, I'd say go there and do when the dust settles. I'd also see a lawyer.
November 16th, 2014
Oh wow, this looks devastating. I agree with Ann. That company is a disgrace.
November 16th, 2014
Jo
I suppose this is the bit you don't see unless it happens to you, an all round horrid experience, I so hope you are both managing to keep your spirits up?
