This is the upper floor of our unit, the top floor in our building. This is what the content removal company decided was satisfactory and that they could all take the day off. This is one of the better looking rooms across the four floors across the two units. Not a great day...but some very good things have happened as listed in fire saga entry in main album - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2014-11-14
always such a mess...did you also have a heap out one window? they know what to do, but so sad to see what has to be lost to save the whole. you will be amazed at what can and will be saved from this!
Devastating to look at, I feel so for you. I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through. I just hope that things get moving along and that the road ahead smooths out. My thoughts are with you and I wish I could offer more than just words :-)
So heartbreaking for you Taffy to see your lovely home in this state!! To think they could take a day off and leave it like this - I hope you tell them what you think. I do hope it hasn't caused more damage to your things which are still lying in that mess. Stay positive even though that must be the hardest thing in the world!! Take care - stay safe!!
OMG what a mess! Taffy I am so sorry! This has to be heartbreaking. Tri to remain positive. Something good will come out of the ashes, just wait and see.
I am so sorry. I've been so very busy with family, health, and work issues that I've neglected my 365 project. I pray you are well and your road to restoration has few obstacles and detours.
Oh, no! Words fail... at least you are safe, but what a mess. I hope you can find some courage and some remnants of a sense of humor, because I fear you will need both. Your comments about the content removal people leaving early made me laugh. Yuk. Hang in there and we will continue to try to encourage you. :)
I could cry for you..........what a shame......but there is only one way ..........upwards:) this is a temporary phase......it WILL improve, I am sure everyone of your 365 friends could be there to help you if they could xxx
Oh wow, what a mess. It doesn't look satisfactory to me! But there do perhaps look like there are some things that are salvageable. I hope this stage goes quickly.
Oh Taffy, how ghastly to see your nest in ruins like this, must be totally devastating for you. Home is sanctuary and this one has been badly violated.
Oh, my, my Taffy!! My heart bleeds for you! :-((( What a holy mess, and this is just the beginning. I know they are all just "things", and everything can be restored, recovered, or replaced, but it sure makes you take stock. I hope you will find some peace of mind at your new temporary abode, and realize that you have not lost anything irreplaceable. I see some new furniture in your future.... ;-))
once again...Bless Your Heart... As Osia said, the day will finally come when you plop down on a new sofa, and sigh, "We did it, Jim...we saw it through..." I'm so glad to see the good company here that you have gathered around you...looks like an outpouring and a big group hug!
This not only makes me sad for you, it makes me angry. This company gives those who "do it right" a bad name. If you have a place where you can describe their work ethic so that others don't get the same treatment, I'd say go there and do when the dust settles. I'd also see a lawyer.
I suppose this is the bit you don't see unless it happens to you, an all round horrid experience, I so hope you are both managing to keep your spirits up?
