The image I posted in my main album - http://365project.org/taffy/365/2015-10-13 - was taken through this fence hole. Imagine behind me is a group of about 25 people, with a few videographers filming an artist whose new work has been unveiled just to the left. They didn't want us in their shot (or any of the other photographers around) and kept asking us to leave -- but they were next to one of the only three holes available to take our shots. A lot of very civil jockeying for position was going on! See Junko's photo for the overall scene: http://365project.org/jyokota/challenges-and/2015-10-13
Thanks again for your wonderful response to our shots from yesterday's photo walk.
Wonderful view through the fence hole.....glad you included this one!! There is a pedestrian bridge here with fencing like this where the photographers have cut holes so they could stick their camera lenses through. Not the same scale as Manhattan, but same idea! ;-)) FAV!
@panthora Have you photographed there? I wouldn't have thought about the fence except for Michael shooting with it earlier in the evening and the sort of 'famous' feel of the three holes.
@taffy Yes, I did, and I can tell you where it is, but the view is nowhere near as exciting as this!! Still, you can look towards downtown, and get some nice light trails. I am so, so sorry that I won't be here to meet you and show you all my favorite spots. :-((( There are some other wonderful photographers here that I know would just love to meet with you, so let me know if you would be interested (in case you are not following them), and I will put you in touch.
@panthora That would be great. My email is teraphael at gmail.com. Once you've gotten it, I'll delete this comment from here (didn't put in the @ sign as it makes it harder for it to randomly show up as an email, but hope it's obvious what the actual address is). Thanks! Disappointed that you won't be there tho....I'll actual be in Carlsbad at the Omni Resort there.
