Junko and I stopped at Fulton Center, at Michael Elliot's suggestion, to photograph the amazing skylight and lobby of this subway stop where so many of the train lines come together across from the World Trade Center, now the site of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We were on our way to the museum -- and glad that we had gone on the way TO and not after our visit. In contrast with my other posting for today, this is a bright, upbeat, and very intriguing space. We didn't realize how much of a contrast this would be to our next 3 hours.
Main album is a triptych representing the experience at the Memorial museum: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2015-10-15
This is wonderful!! I have not been to that subway station yet, but your photograph has definitely captured that lofty space, and the light that is streaming in! FAV!
@ccenecua There is a Shake Shack sign embedded into the design, so I think you're right about where it is going. Although I love their Shroomburgers! Thanks for the visit!
@michaelelliott Thanks Michael! We would never have known to look for this if you hadn't mentioned it. Took us awhile to figure out where it was, though we were actually standing almost in front of it! What a place to photograph, with all different lenses. I wish I'd had my fisheye with me!
