The theme this week of patterns had me playing with some of the apps that I've been using recently (probably fits ETSOOI even more than patterns!). This started as an HDR of three bracketed shots of the L station's stairs at UIC-Halstead. Once combined and tweaked in Lightroom, I photo-synced it to HyperDroste and created about 6 different patterns on my iPhone. Then, photosynced to iPad and applied PIPcamera fiddling with which photo to use in the foreground and which in the background. Then Photosynced it back to my computer and imported it to Lightroom for final cleanup. Then exported to 365 for upload. The bigger question is, "WHY?"
This is so fabulous. I was inspired to download the PIP app and it's fun to play around with but I have no idea how you get the amazing images you're creating.
@barb_b Just play around with it. The main things I figured out that helped were: change foreground/change background (the mountain next to foreground and background), and then the arrow facing down when you click "modern". Have fun!
OK...excuse me, but I have to go with my first thought... "That's pretty damned impressive!" I thought you'd photographed an exquisite piece of art glass in a gallery! It's certainly what I see when I look at this beautiful image! Love it!
Awesome, you are having so much fun with apps and inspiring so many people, This is amazing! I like the way you combine apps and thank you for sharing.
I guess it's art first and foremost and photography second, but there are a lot of people who would pay good money to have this on their walls... find yourself a gallery, Taffy!
I thought this was a beautiful piece of jewellery and was amazed when I read your narrative!! I have no idea what this photo synching is and I realise just how much I don't understand. I get frustrated and give up!! Huge Fav for this fabulous artwork!!
@fntngrma As Rosan says, Taffy, 'because you can'. Surely if you approach any art form with this attitude your skills will always be stretched and grow. I would say more accurately, 'because you want to find out more & are inquisitive'. Keep pushing that personal envelope.
Er well, why not? If you've got the time and skill and patience and creativity and artistic flair, as you so clearly have :) Turns out to be a stunning abstract, and I also wonder which gallery's going to snap you up
Taffy, this is seriously cool! I'd hang this one on my wall!
BTW, last week I took the train from Cincinnati to Chicago to visit friends in Rockford. I thought of you when I took my photos at Union Station's grand hall. :-) Hope you are doing well!
@bernicrumb Thanks Bernie! Union Station is a fantastic place to photograph -- I hope you had fun and ended up with pictures you liked. I'm off to check out your album. All is good here...thanks for your visit!
@eyesmile Thanks, Gena, for the multiple visits and comments! I appreciate it! I do love the options our subway stations provide -- they always look different, even if I'm there each day!
