More from the Driehaus Museum Downton Abbey costume display. I liked how in the way this was set up with multiple mirrors that the manikins looking in the mirror see their ghosts reflecting back.
I just couldn't bear to lose the warm tones in this by converting it to black and white...otherwise would have been in my main album.
@johnston1364 It wasn't easy! I am standing just to the right of the edge of the mirror and there's enough blur that the camera lens is not distinguishable. I wanted to have both costume's women reflected in the mirror but to do that, I was too visible between them taking the photo -- even though it was blurred.
Having had two years of college study of the history of fashion, I'd have adored this! (We even had to see the movie "Camelot" back in the day and interpret a modern outfit from the styles we saw!) Thus, I look at this display and can see in it another project! Do you know how long it will be there?
@Weezilou It's here through May 8th so you should easily be able to see this. Tickets were $15.00 or so, and if you really want to splurge, there's an afternoon tea as well but that was $50.00 per person. We skipped that and really loved the exhibit and the mansion. It takes about 2 hours at the most to wander through slowly and photograph. Otherwise, about an hour or a little more would be plenty. Here's the link (can order tickets in advance) - I was told to go as early as possible in the morning before it gets crowded.
