Shadow Play at the Union Station Portico by taffy

Shadow Play at the Union Station Portico

Thank you so much for your comments/favs that helped my posts yesterday visit PP briefly! I took this from one end of the portico in the color version of the full building in yesterday's post. One of my favorite buildings in the city to photograph.
B&W version for Flash of Red month is in main album: https://365project.org/taffy/365/2017-02-03
great! love it.

Wonderful shot of a very impressive railway station. Love the perspective you've captured and the strength in the lines and shapes of the structural elements.

Shadows and structures - such a strong and interesting image.

Another great shot which has wonderful depth.

I love the comp, the dept and the clarity in your architectural shots. The are full of details, but do not have a HDR feel. Outstanding.
February 4th, 2017
@mona65 Thanks Mona. With the lighting we have in the midst of the city, and all the urban canyons, I have to use HDR, but worry when I go a little over the top to bring out details. I did like how this one came out so appreciate your noting that.
February 4th, 2017
@taffy ;-) IMHO there is a fine line between good and bad HDR, and you are definitely always on the good side!!!

Excellent.

Superb capture
February 4th, 2017
makes it look so elegant ... rather than grimy
February 4th, 2017
One of the strongest lead in line combinations I've seen.

Fab image, amazing details, depth and low PoV - fav

Another great shot. I do like it in colour, but I do prefer the b&w simply because I find the blue sky here draws my eyes away from the centre of the picture.
February 4th, 2017
Like this capture too but feel the B&W has more impact. Fav anyway 8-)
February 4th, 2017
I love how huge this feels...makes me feel small...off to view the b and w
February 5th, 2017
Love this!
February 5th, 2017
This is amazing!

@jgpittenger That's what I was gong for as a look -- the sheer magnitude of the height (wishing I had a small person but there was no one in the right spot so I waited til they left). To me the b&w has a heavier look to it.

Stunning capture...Fav.
