Cannes Identity, Even at the Bus Depot by taffy

Cannes Identity, Even at the Bus Depot

While we waited for our bus to return to our condo rental, we (along with the others waiting) entertained ourselves figuring out who each set of figures represented and from what movie. See how you do! View as large as possible if you're attempting this.
For a classic view of the harbor (probably no one there takes the bus!), see main album: https://365project.org/taffy/365/2017-05-19
Internet is quite unstable and unpredictable. Thanking you for your visits as I'm guessing commenting will be sporadic for a bit.
How much fun!

Quite a fun scene. Looks very cleverly done. I wont even attempt your challenge - I'm hopeless at identifying any type of celebrity.

I think I see Titanic but that's all! I am useless at this game! Lol! What fun! Enjoy Cannes! I just remember how expensive everything was there.

Not a clue, but I do like the photo regardless.

I have a few of them: Di Caprio and Wonslet from "Titanic" top left, Harold Lloyd hanging from the clock from "Safety Last" down center,, Alain Delon and Claudia Cardinale from "il gattopardo" at his right, C-3PO from "Star Wars" behind the antenna down right. There's also Gino Cervi down left, but don't know the film... pretty much European, I dare say!

@domenicododaro Thanks! We had gotten most of them, but you filled in some important gaps!!

What a great mural. I can spot Leonardo di Caprio, so assume that must be Titanic. Maybe Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but no idea of the movie. C3PO from Star Wars, but that is about it for me.

I'm not good at this - only got Titanic and Star Wars.

So glad I read the thread, as I would only have guessed 2 or 3. A great mural!

I knew it was the Titanic in the upper left but was uncertain of the actors' names until I read what the others said. Continuing on the upper row, I see Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman in A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and then Meryl Streep and Robert Redford (I'm not sure where the others are seeing Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers???). The first four fellows on the bottom row have me stumped but I thought maybe they were actors in the Godfather- a movie I've never seen, but they look like gangsters to me, so that's what I came up with! However the one fellow on the right looks sooooo familiar! I just can't pull his name out of my brain. Then Harold Lloyd hanging off the clock. I thought the next couple was Clark Gable and (I forget her name right now) in Gone With the Wind and then John Wayne with ??? sitting on his shoulder (war movies another weak area for me!). And of course CP30 finishing things off. But those are all American films- and this is Cannes, so I'm sure most of my guessing is completely wrong!! Fun shot!

@olivetreeann Well done!! You caught so many of them. It took four of us to figure most of them out!

@taffy Thanks Taffy- I wouldn't call myself an old movie buff but I prefer them to many modern versions. I did have to take a film class in my undergrad days but it was more about symbolism and such so why I knew so many of the above is anyone's guess!!
