We returned to the island today with our long-time friends -- the ones we had visited in southern France in May. They brought tomatoes (plural) from their garden -- large juicy looking ones and very healthy orange cherry types. Our garden produced a singular (as in one), small cherry tomato, pictured here hanging out with one of its new friends. Do you think they are discussing their probably relatively short futures, their hairdos? They certainly looked deep in conversation!
I remember when I was much younger and the only time we could get a descent was late summer. Fortunately we can get better tomatoes all year long but nothing beats the tomatoes that grow in the north east in the summer.
@robz Haha -- yes, I thought so too and almost did a different set up of our poor little red tomato being overshadowed by all the orange ones. But couldn't figure out a way to make it not seem ominous!
