My graduate school advisor, David, and me. No need to comment. Just a document shot for my album, taken on the balcony where I shot the sunset over Berkeley Hills image. The top two photos are from graduate school days during my one year at University of Minnesota. David and I were both a lot younger then! No idea who took the one of me back then, but a friend took the current one, using my camera.
How can I resist commenting on such lovely images! You look so young Taffy what a great find! I love the latest portrait of the two of you! Such happy smiling faces! Great friends for all those years! Fav!
@pamknowler Aw...thanks! It also struck me that I look so serious! It is pretty amazing when I think of how much has happened over the past 40 years. And in the blink of an eye!
@homeschoolmom Thank you! But that's not Jim, my husband. It's my advisor from graduate school -- so not an anniversary but an event honoring his retirement. But now that I think about it, I've known him 3 years longer than my husband!
David doesn't look too much different to what he looked like 40 years ago. I did google him, sounds like a great man. I must ask my sister if she has heard of him. She is a literacy expert and has done a lot of work in the US.
So good to meet up again Taffy, you would have lots to talk about. I must say you look as pretty as ever you were & David doesn't look a day older! Well done to him for his honour!
@golftragic That's a shame, that you would go to the trouble to listen, and the sound didn't go well across systems. It's fine as I listen, so I don't know what happened...very kind of you to give it a listen!
That's a really special treasure which I can't do with some of the teachers who've influenced me as they've passed away. You look great in all eras- both of you!
Lovely photo.
