P3 Rethinks His Choice of Viewpoint by taffy

P3 Rethinks His Choice of Viewpoint

The leopard part is the real image, and P3 is my addition, just to be clear what is going on here. Practice during the lesson on LR and PS that Junko, a friend, and I had today. I learned to put the two images together, change the size of P3, flip him horizontally, use a layer mask, and a few other things I've now forgotten. All things I've learned before but find it is very hard to remember. This time I took extensive notes, so hoping it sticks!

Nicely done! Got to believe that there really was a tiny penguin hanging out in Tanzania taunting leopards. ;-)

Wow!

Great fun image. Extensive notes sounds the way to go.

Outstanding capture!! Send this to National Geographic!

Good idea P3! Safety first! What a beautiful cat!

@stray_shooter Only P3...he slept in a cooler at night. He couldn't convince any other penguin to join us but then, he's braver and more curious than most.

An awesome image Taffy! I am trying to follow tutorials on PS, and have to take notes all the time! It is so hard for it to sink in and stay put ;-)

I love this image Taffy and can appreciate what you have done. I know I once knew how to do all those actions but for the life of me I cannot remember! Lol! I feel I want to bribe you into sharing your notes! So funny!

Wow!

very cool, nicely done

Great result although poor little P3 probably doesn't like it much! That's a lot of interesting things to practice in one day - bet you were tired by the end of the day! :)

I don't know how to do any of those things, so well done you! I think it really helps if you have someone to show you and teach you. So many complex steps often, its hard to remember them all.

P3.......I think you had better run before you turn into lunch!! Super shot

so well done, and an amazing transformation
February 13th, 2019
Wow that is a lot of learning in one day. Well done

What a great action shot! P3 must have been really scared... amazing that he survived!
February 13th, 2019
An amazing piece of editing, glad I read your description though as I was just wondering what a penguin was doing in Kenya!!
February 13th, 2019
He he ... P3 is not scared, a bit of a dare devil I think, really! Wonderful piece of editing. Nicely done.
February 13th, 2019
My first thought was that you caught the leopard leaping up the limb. Then I saw P3 and knew better. Your edit looks perfect to me.
February 13th, 2019
Well done! Had me fooled for a second! ;)
February 13th, 2019
Wow...Well done, Taffy!

Naughty P3 risking his life !! - Great candid -

Oh my goodness, wonderful timing on this. Excellent capture.
February 13th, 2019
hehehe! what's he going to do now!
February 13th, 2019
@louannwarren Actually I have the whole series of the leopard going up the tree. The only thing I did was add in P3. I’ll clear that up in the narrative — thanks for your comment!
February 13th, 2019
Wow! This is fun!!
February 13th, 2019
I don't know what you mean by P3, but this is great PS
February 13th, 2019
Fantastic- fav!
February 13th, 2019
Fav!
February 13th, 2019
Great image, but the leopard without P3 would be a strong image in it's own right.

@bob65 Thanks Bob. I totally agree -- leopard alone is the 'real' image. I put this in extras to remember/record the lesson date for composites in PS as this was the product I had worked on. It's actually fairly silly, but was fun to do.

you are certainly mastering those skills to create this unlikely scene. That leopard is so clear and distinguished from its background that it almost looks like you put him there too. It is almost too good to be true. As for the PS skills - I wish you well with remembering what you learned - I find that so difficult.

The leopard is so beautiful! Your little addition made me laugh too.
February 14th, 2019
Great capture
February 14th, 2019
Wonderful image of the leopard, nice edit
February 14th, 2019
Well done on the PS editing, I have to take notes too and I keep trying the various techniques until they sink in which seems to take a long time :)
February 15th, 2019
Awesome edit but even more wonderful capture of the leaping leopard
February 16th, 2019
Good luck little bird!

Well done!
