Religious Currency Exchange

i figured it was time for something specifically Taiwanese. This is a picture of a statue (obviously) at a local temple. What is unique about this statue is that he gives out holy money.

Essentially you put a ten Taiwanese dollar coin into a hole in his hand, and then out of his sleeve comes a one Taiwanese dollar coin. But that one dollar coin is good luck.

When compared to a lot of the money you have to spend in Taiwanese temples to get good luck, this one seems not so bad. At least this way you actually get something back, and it's real money.

I wonder if this is how Taiwanese gangsters wash their money.
