It's Just Like A Smaller China

One of the most amazing things I've ever seen on my travels has been the great wall of China. The sheer scope of it is stunning. I remember standing on top of the wall and every direction I looked there was part of the wall crisscrossing the mountain tops.

On the visit to the mine, I was pleasantly reminded of this experience. The mine has three tunnels for slurry to travel down the mountain and into the processing plant. While definitely not as large or long as the great wall, they were equally mystifying as they seemed to go every which direction at the same time.

Perhaps you can make out some of the tunnels in this picture. Also on the top left is "tea cup mountain" named so because the rock formation on the top is shaped like a tea kettle. Hard to make out in this picture, but it does look exactly like a kettle.

I have clearer pictures of it from the other side of the mountain, but I'm getting a bit burned out of this mine. Starting tomorrow it's time to move on to another subject.
