In honor of mother's day, the extremely blurry picture is of my mother's day card to my mom.
It's a good thing that it's blurry as my chinese writing is pretty horrible. and unfortunately it's just some simple sentences.
Writing this card showed me that my chinese is actually much better than i thought, but that i still have a long way to go. The way i came to realize this is when i was deciding what to write, i was thinking about what chinese i know, and then using that to write a message. however afterwards i was thinking in english about what i would have written if the card was in english, and of course it's more advanced. but then i realized that everything i wanted to say in english, i actually know how to say in chinese.
So i learned that actually my chinese is at a much higher level than i give myself credit for. but i also learned that i really have to improve my chinese thinking. that in chinese i still think in simple sentences, even though i know how to say some complex things.
