I mentioned before that people like to put rubber mats over the street drains. Apparently slogging through deep puddles of water on the street is a desirable thing. This particular one is right around the corner from my house and is special because it is where my dog pees 70% of the time when we go out. For some reason she loves this mat.
It's a convenience as it's very close. I'm especially grateful as there are two typhoons coming back to back this week, so for the next few days i will spend a few times each day running with my dog to this spot, begging her to pee, then running back home.
The only drawback with this spot is that often people park their scooter on it, so she can't get to it. Also it's on a pretty busy alley, and she doesn't seem to like for people to see her pee, so she can only pee when nobody is walking by. Yes the irony is not lost on me that while I have a severe distaste for women who act like princesses, I am burdened with a dog who thinks she is a princess.
To be quite honest, I always consider just bringing this home so she can pee on it anytime she wants. I wonder if the convenience it would give me, is worth the multitude of disease I would contract from it.
