My recent venture through the mountain dealing with large spiders, reminded me of this picture I took before. It was an exhibit of freakishly huge insects that are found in Taiwan.
Most of them I've never come across, but Taipei buildings love to have what I believe is called the Brown Huntsman Spider. You can take a look online, but they are basically big hairy spiders, that run quickly and jump pretty high. A few of my previous apartment has had them, as well as some offices I worked in. They can be a bit startling when you look up and there is one on the ceiling that's bigger than your hand.
But really this is all just an excuse to test your resolve. Every now and then I come across some news or info that makes me glad that I don't live in America. Well I'm pretty much always glad i don't live there when I read about politics. But recently I was reading about how there are only four spiders that are poisonous to humans and three of them are found in the states. If you are wise you will NOT do an image search for "brown recluse spider bites."
