Wait, What!?

Because of the various forms of Buddhism here in Taiwan, the swastika is pretty prevalent. In fact on the maps in the subway stations that show the local area, a swastika on the map is used to show were a temple is. Yes the first or second time you see it you have to do a double take, until your mind reminds you that the swastika and the one you are thinking of are quite different.

With all the swastikas you see around town though, you'd have to figure that somebody would make a mistake and put the wrong one up. But then i thought if somebody did, i probably would never notice.

Spoilers, I did notice.

Walking to lunch one day I saw what's in the picture. If anything it led me to be very curious to see who the owner was. Was it somebody trying to be "funny"? Was it somebody trying to make a commentary on how the Nazi's corrupted the meaning of the swastika so it doesn't make sense to plaster them around town? Was is somebody who was just confused and thought they were getting the correct kind? Or was it just an asshole?

I looked around and couldn't see anybody. I considered waiting for a bit just to satisfy my curiosity, but I was more interested in satisfying my hunger, so I continued to get my lunch. I left the situation with one questions sticking out more than others, where would somebody actually buy this in Taiwan? And is there some place that has a hole batch of these either accidentally or on purpose?
