Moving Herd

Here we have a lovely piece of art. It's a sculpture of the back half of a zebra. There is not front half of it. As you can see there is a pedestrian walking light in it's rear, but to be honest I believe that this wasn't always there. Then again it seems both odd and difficult to add it in later, so I'm sure I'm wrong.

One thing I am sure of though, is that this it moves around a lot. You can generally find it on street corners but not always the same one. Is it alive? Is the government playing some odd joke on the people of Taipei? Well to be honest I think the reason it's been moved around is because of construction in certain areas over time. Yes, not such an interesting story.

At the moment the electronic device in it's rear while operational, is actually not serving it's purpose. This is because the zebra is currently "facing" the wrong way, so the light is pointing at a wall, instead of pointing into the intersection. Who knows, perhaps it too is just waiting to cross the street and the next time I run into it, it will be in the right spot.
